Joaquina García Sentamans
Scholarship fellow on the subject of “Interpretation and analysis of historical structures from digital survey” at the University of Pavia.
Since 2020 she has been a European PhD in Architecture, Building, Urban Planning and Landscape, in 2014 she took a Master’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage specialising in intervention techniques and in 2011 she graduated in Building Engineering by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Her doctoral thesis, “The Communion Chapel of Algemesí. Constructive development and state of preservation”, won the IV “Vicent Castell i Llàcer” Social Sciences Award for the results obtained from its archaeological excavations. In the period between 2015 and 2020, she did two pre-doctoral stays at the University of Florence, participated in several international congresses and wrote scientific articles.
Her research focuses on the analysis of religious architecture from a historical, constructive and pathological point of view.
