Sara Ben Lashihar
Ph.D. student in Design, Modeling, and Simulation in Engineering, XXXVI Cycle, at the department of Civil Engineer and Architecture, Universita di Pavia. Sara obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Al-Fateh University in Tripoli, Libya. She is a holder of two masters: the first is an M.Sc. in Digital Architecture from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, specialized in parametric design and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Her thesis “BIM Application in Conceptual Design Phase: Exploring the abilities and Limitations of Autodesk Revit Architecture through the Generative Geometric Design Approach” studied BIM application’s capabilities in a particular design approach called Generative Geometric Design (GGDA). In 2019, she received the Erasmus+ scholarship, which allowed her to join the European Master in Building Information Modeling (BIM A+) and graduate with Level II Master from the Politecnico di Milano. The whole development process is based on BIM in collaboration with Metropolitana di Milano (MM) company.
