Jakub Szczepański
Full Professor in the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology, Gdańsk, Poland. Since 2016 he has been Vice-Dean for Scientific Research at the Faculty of Architecture and Head of the Department of History, Theory of Architecture and Monument Conservation. His research focuses on the history and architecture of Gdańsk and the cities of the Baltic region, as well as the conservation of architectural heritage embedded in the issues of contemporary cities. In parallel with his scientific work at Gdańsk University of Technology, he carried out architectural and conservation projects and supervised a number of conservation works in Gdańsk and in Tallinn, Estonia. Anticipates in the work of non-governmental organisations, e.g. in the Congress of Urban Movements and the Local Initiatives Committee. Since 2020 he has been a member of the Architecture and Urbanism Committee at the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). Member of the International Group of Urban and Architecture Design INTEGRO UAD based in Florence, Italy and a member of the Advisory Board of the World Transactions on Engineering and Technology Education (WTE&TE).
