On 1 April 2021, at 12.30, at Sala Pasetto of Palazzo Barbieri in Verona, a press conference was held for the presentation of the results of the documentation project of the monumental funeral ark of Mastino II della Scala in Verona.

The project was promoted and funded by the Verona Rotary club, which, accepting the proposal of the Assessor for UNESCO Relations and Tourism, decided to donate the products of the documentation activity on the funeral monument to the Municipality of Verona. These are the results of a research carried out by the DICAr, Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the University of Pavia, by the working group of DAda-LAB.

The research activities included a multi-instrumental digital survey, with terrestrial and Structured-light laser scanners for the documentation of the sculptural apparatus of the Ark, as well as drones and photographic cameras for material acquisition and mapping of the state of decay.
