Landscapes, a synthesis of phenomena, structures and different elements of various nature and quality (natural, semi-natural, artificial), are presented to users as a continuity of signs, shapes and sets that can not be interpreted with the only use of a distant observation.
To understand the complexity features and specificities inherent the formative and evolutionary mechanisms of a place, an analytical and in-depth study is necessary with the help of different disciplines. Documentation and landscape design is an interdisciplinary field, which includes the following themes:

  • architectural composition.
  • environmental and territorial analysis.
  • forest and agricultural sciences.
  • social sciences and visual arts.

Landscape documentation project deals with the study of the image in various environments using immediate tools for reading, data selection systems based on the image perceived in various environments and on the archiving, in real time, of impressions, images and comments. To express these considerations, tools of drawing and photography are used, made with the intent of interpreting the image of nature, in the perspective of representation, trying to analyze the change in the perception of the surrounding environment.
