“Knowledge protocols for the management of Fortified Cities” – Bastione delle Maddalene, Verone – 28.02.2020

The Conference day “Knowledge protocols for the management of Fortified Cities” will be held in the city of Verona on February 28, 2020, where the research experiences and the reflections of professors and researchers of national universities concerning the analysis and the documentation of the Italian fortified heritage will be shared.
The event is part of the program of knowledge and cultural enhancement of the Venetian fortified systems, already started in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona through the VERONACITTÀMURATA project, dedicated to the digitization of the historic fortified wall of the city of Verona, a UNESCO site, to safeguard the monumental city walls and gates. At the end of the event, scheduled for 5.00 pm, the inauguration of the exhibition “The Gates of Verona” will be held at Porta Vescovo, Vicolo Porta Vescovo, where graphic products and dedicated multimedia content will be exhibited at the monumental urban gates.
The event is organized by DAda Lab and PLAY research laboratories of the University of Pavia and is sponsored by the Municipality of Verona, the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscapers, Conservators of the Province of Verona, by the Order of Engineers of Verona and its Province and the World Heritage Italian Association.
