Francesca Galasso
PhD in Design, Modeling and Simulation in Engineering and Research Fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Pavia on modelling procedures for the creation of virtual environments functional to the enhancement of historical architectural heritage. She graduated in Construction Engineering Architecture in 2018 at the University of Pavia with the thesis “Documentation project in East Jerusalem. Databases and virtual reality systems for the recovery and fruition of urban space”. Since 2014 she has participated in national and international research projects for architectural documentation with digital representation systems, through the use of digital technologies for the structuring of databases and 3D models suitable for augmented fruition scenarios, in particular for projects for the enhancement of monumental sites of historical architectural interest. Since 2016, she has been actively collaborating within the DAda LAB research laboratory and has been involved in experimental research projects on three-dimensional geometric modelling systems for extensive documentation from the architectural scale to the urban sector, and the development of compatibility protocols and implementation of digital models in immersive and augmented virtual scenarios for information purposes. She has participated as a speaker at numerous national and international conferences in the field and is the author of publications on Digital Survey and application development.
